Questions
Often — and the pebble-beach light is the reason I recommend whitening three to four days before the ceremony rather than the day before. That way the shade is fully settled, any sensitivity has faded, and the photos in that strong coastal light catch the result properly.
Yes — Tankerton, Seasalter, Swalecliffe, and Chestfield are all part of my standard CT5 coverage with no extra travel fee. The seafront stretch can be parking-heavy in summer so just send your postcode when booking and I'll plan around it.
Yes — the week of the Oyster Festival itself, and the week before, are my most-booked of the Whitstable year. If you want appointments in that window, book four to six weeks ahead. Outside the festival, midweek slots are usually easy.
Yes. We use PAP+ (phthalimido peroxy caproic acid) rather than hydrogen peroxide. PAP+ breaks down stains on enamel without the bleaching chemistry that causes sensitivity — most clients feel nothing during treatment and no sensitivity afterwards. Available to clients aged 18 and over with photo ID.

Whitstable lives outdoors — the harbour, the working boats, the Tankerton slopes, the long walks toward Seasalter at low tide. Every event you actually dress up for happens in beautiful, brutal natural light: oysters on the pebbles, weddings on the beach, golden-hour photos along Island Wall. That light shows up a dull smile fast. I come to your door so you can fit whitening around the tide times and the harbour-side dinners, not the other way around. Whether you're a CT5 local or down for the weekend, I'll travel to you.
Whitstable parking in summer is a write-off — Harbour Street is permit-heavy, the Gorrell Tank fills by 10am, and Tankerton's seafront slots are gone before breakfast. The drive to a Canterbury salon then back again is over an hour of your day. Mobile fits the actual pace here. Oyster Festival weekend, beach weddings at the East Quay or the Whitstable Castle, harbour-side hen dos — most of my CT5 bookings cluster around these. A lot of clients book me the day before they're hosting friends down from London.
Across CT5 I cover central Whitstable, the Harbour, Tankerton, Seasalter, Swalecliffe, Chestfield, and the streets either side of Island Wall and Cromwell Road. I also reach Yorkletts, Dargate, and the edges of Herne Bay toward Studd Hill. Most of these are 5–15 minutes from the harbour and same-week appointments are usually fine, especially midweek and on Sunday mornings.
Oyster Festival in late July is the biggest week of my Whitstable year — beach parties, harbour photos, Pearson's evenings. Whitstable Castle weddings and East Quay receptions drive a steady stream of bridal bookings from May through September. Beach weddings on the pebbles between Tankerton and Seasalter are the romantic ones — golden-hour photos catch every shade. I also get a lot of mums booking before big family weekends when the London friends descend.
